AZERBAIJAN MINISTRY OF DEFENCE REFUTES REPORTS OF SENDING OF SPIES TO ARMENIA

    Azerbaijan Business Center
    March 9 2010

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Armenia and Azerbaijan have entered in active
phase of preparation for resumption of hostilities within the
framework of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Garabagh conflict halted
after an armistice agreement was signed in Bishkek in May 1994

As well as in case with Georgia-Russia war in 2008, Armenia and
Azerbaijan started exchange of mutual accusations of armed provocations
    and subversive operations.

At the end of last week the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan refuted
reports of the Armenian media about alleged invasion of Azerbaijani
subversive group into territory of Armenia.

The MoD press service informs that the report disseminated by Armenian
media about invasion of Azerbaijani citizens in Armenian territory is
    "lie".

"There was no Azerbaijani subversive group's invasion across the
Armenian border. This data was spread in order to mislead the public,"
    the Ministry's press service emphasizes.

Earlier a range of the Armenian media citing the Ministry of Defence
of Armenia released information that at night from 3 to 4 March 2010 a
subversive group of 5 or 6 persons invaded into territory of Armenian
    village Koti of Tavush region.

Currently resumption of hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan
depends fully on OSCE. Its Minsk Group established for settlement of
Garabagh conflict has failed so far to obtain any tangible progress
while OSCE says of progress already in 2010, but similar expectations
were also in 2009 and several years earlier. At the same time Armenia
keeps on occupying 20% of Azerbaijani territory.
