The body of the decisions and statements made by the Armenian leaders
yesterday is as follows: the Armenian-Turkish process has not been
terminated, and the ball is still in the Turkish half of the field,
Director of the Institute of Caucasus, political scientist Alexander
Iskandaryan told reporters on April 23.

According to him, all the players place their hopes on Turkey now,
and that state must decide on the further format of talks over
normalization of relations with Armenia. "By not withdrawing its
signature put to the Armenian-Turkish protocols, official Yerevan
made it clear it is ready for normalizing the relations in the former
format, namely, on the basis of the Armenian-Turkish protocols,"
    Iskandaryan said.

The exert pointed out the importance of the domestic political
situation in Armenia Specially, the ruling party's ratings are going
down. In this context, official Ankara is unlikely to make any serious
    moves before the 2011 elections.

"The position Armenia made public yesterday must have been agreed
on with the international mediators. Moreover, signs of the process
freezing were obvious as far back as this January. On the other hand,
by making it clear for Turkey it cannot behave like that any longer,
Armenia left room for further talks," Iskandaryan said.
