    DARCHINYAN-NONITO MATCH MAY BE POSTPONED

While WBA super flyweight interim champion Nonito has no idea about the
reasons for the delay in finalizing his eagerly anticipated rematch
with WBC/WBA champion Vic Darchinyan, promoter Gary Shaw told us
Tuesday that the international TV rights was the sticking point.

Shaw said "I don't like and I'm not happy with the deal on the
international TV rights and I'm hoping that they (Top Rank) will come
back with a better offer so we could make the fight."

Shaw who handles Darchinyan indicated that "otherwise we will just
have to move on and fight someone else."

The well-known promoter said he doesn't think that "the money that
Top Rank is putting on the table is fair because they want to keep
all the Philippine television rights money. They say it wasn't a lot
    of money, so we'll see."

Shaw disclosed that he had spoken to Carl Moretti of Top Rank and
"told him what I want and he said they would get back to me."

Donaire who knocked out Darchinyan in the 5th round to grab the
Australian's IBF/IBO flyweight titles on July 7, 2007 in what was voted
as "The Knockout of the Year" sounded frustrated at his predicament
of not getting the big fights while fighters such as WBO champion
Jorge Arce and WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel both of
whom he wanted to fight, continue to move forward in their careers.
