According to the Chairman of Azerbaijan's National Salvation Party
Vugar Beyturan, the normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations
was being done under the pressure of other countries.

"The negotiations were set up by other forces, other countries.

However, problems started to arise. In particular, turns out
Armenia doesnt feel like letting her ambitions go, and doesnt make
any concessions on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. So, because of these
obstacles, the normalization process between Armenia and Turkey turned
out to be just words on paper", said Beyturan.

He also pointed out, that the normalization process freezed after
Armenian president Sargsyan announced the stopping of the Zurich
    protocols ratification.

"Sargsyan did it on purpose, before the 24th of April. He was counting
on that other countries will pressure Turkey with the so-called
"genocide" issue. However, turned out to be a diplomatic failure for
    Sargsyan", the chairman said.

Beyturan said however, that the normalization process between Turkey
and Armenia will continue. "Armenia does want to normalize relations
with Turkey, but only to break the azerbaijani-turkish relations.

This, of course is very unlikely to happen. Turkey has always been
a brotherly country for Azerbaijan", he said.

"The normalization process won't go any further until Armenia has these
ideological and political claims towards Turkey", Beyturan pointed out.
