Baku. Lachin Sultanova - APA. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan
Elmar Mammadyarov will leave for Italy on June 4 to attend the Council
of Europe Venice Commission's 20th anniversary events in Venice on
June 5, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elkhan Polukhov
    told APA.

Several heads of states and governments, including the presidents
of Georgia and Hungary will join the events. Elmar Mammadyarov will
meet with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, who are mediating in
negotiations on the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, in Venice.

The Venice Commission is an advisory body of the Council of Europe,
composed of independent experts in the field of constitutional
law. It was created in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin wall,
at a time of urgent need for constitutional assistance in Central
and Eastern Europe. The Commission's official name is the European
Commission for Democracy through Law, but due to its seat in Venice,
Italy, where it meets four times a year, it is usually referred to
as the Venice Commission. The Commission counts 57 member states,
    including Azerbaijan.
