About 7 Thousand People Visited National Gallery during Museum Night

YEREVAN, JUNE 11, ARMENPRESS: Today the Armenian National Gallery is
one of the most important cultural centers of the republic, where not
only new exhibitions open, but also different lectures are conducted,
different joint programs with secondary schools are implemented,
Director of the Armenian National Gallery Paravon Mirzoyan said today
    at a meeting with journalists.

`We give an opportunity to different classes of society to come close
to the art,' he noted adding that those works are being implemented on
a high level. During the chairmanship of P. Mirzoyan the 50% of the
employees of the National Gallery was changed, as the director
attaches importance to replenishment of young cadres.

During the museum night about 7 thousand people have visited the
National Gallery; this index, according to P. Mirzoyan, is a result of
the good work of the gallery. He said that the gallery faces a number
of issues, which hinder the implementation of the woks on its highest
level. There is an initial agreement with the Culture Ministry,
according to which relevant equipments must be brought from Japan.

    P. Mirzoyan said that it is also not right that 4 historical-cultural
structures are simultaneously placed in one building - the Armenian
National Gallery, Armenian Museum of History, Literature Institute
after Y. Charents and Arno Babajanyan Philharmonic Hall.
