FRESCOS BY MINAS TO BE PUT UP FOR AUCTION

Today the RA Government allocated 20m AMD to the Minas Avetisyan
cultural charitable fund to transport two frescos by Minas from Gyumri
to Yerevan. The frescos - "Meeting in 1915" and "Near khachkar" -
have to be transported to Government Building #1 with the assistance
of Italian specialists.
RA Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan said some 12 frescos by Minas
have been preserved in a dangerous structure in the city of Gyumri.
The RA Premier Tigran Sargsyan ordered the minister to sell the
frescos to private enterprises by auction.
