On June 17, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on
honoring Commander of the Police Troops, Deputy Chief of Police,
Major General Garegin Gabrielyan with Lieutenant General rank.
According to President's press office, by President's another decree
of the same day, on the occasion of Police Troops Day, for bravery
when carrying out their official duties, Combat Service Medal was
awarded to Deputy Commander of Police Troops on Armament, Colonel
Vanik Manukyan and Commander of Police Troops 2nd Battalion of Military
Unit 1033 Lieutenant Colonel Vardan Julhakyan.
