ARMENIAN EMERGENCY MINISTRY ANNOUNCES AUGUST A MONTH 'WITHOUT VICTIMS'

ArmInfo. Emergency Ministry of Armenia is going to spend August under
a slogan "Without victims", Ministry Samvel Lazarian said at today's
press-conference.
He calls on citizens to be watchful and not to swim in forbidden
places. According to him, water level raising in lake Sevan
also endangers the security of holidaymakers. "Trees and concrete
constructions remained under water in many places. Moreover, in view
of the water level raising, the buoys, which were earlier installed
in 10-15 meters from the shore, are currently installed in 3-5 meters
in some places.
"It is clear that swimmers will ignore the buoys installed near to
shore. However, even under rescuers available on the shore, the people
should keep their security in memory", S. Lazarian said.
