AZERBAIJANI DEFENCE MINISTRY: ARMENIAN SOLDIER WAS KILLED DURING FIREFIGHT AT MILITARY UNIT

A soldier of the armed forces of Armenia Vitaly Igityan was killed
during a firefight that took place between soldiers at the Armenian
military unit.
Spreading false information about the murder of Igityan by the
Azerbaijani soldiers, the Armenians want to hide the real causes of
the accident, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry
of Defence, Lieutenant-Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu told Trend.
Armenian press disseminated information that on Oct. 14 around 19:00,
the soldier of the military unit 38401 Igityan Vitaly Ashotovich
was shot in the head allegedly by as result of violation of the
ceasefire by the Azerbaijani side in the direction of Hadrut region
of Nagorno-Karabakh. The soldiers died on the way to hospital.
According to Sabiroglu, the Armenians have completely changed the
motive of the incident and reported the incident in a completely
different form.
Sabiroglu said that the last day the ceasefire was not broken in
Hadrut direction. According to him, intelligence data say that on Oct.
14 at 18:30 firefight took between soldiers in the Armenian military
unit 38401. As a result, an Armenian serviceman was killed and two
were seriously wounded.
According to Sabiroglu, the attempt of the Armenians to conceal such
facts is associated with the existence of such facts in the Armenian
army in recent times.
