KAPAN, MARCH 9, ARMENPRESS: Eighteen closed joint stock companies
work in the province of Syunik under the liability of the province -
5 medical centers, 11 primary health care centers, 1 neural therapeutic
dispenser and 1 province blood transfusion station. One hundred one
obstetric points work in rural communities. One thousand 298 people
work in healthcare companies under the liability of the province.
Head of the Healthcare and Social Insurance Department of the
governor office Ashot Tsatryan told Armenpress that the province needs
doctor-specialists. In the recent 1 year the number of the province
doctors has been replenished only with 9 young cadres, which is a low
index for Syunik. For the solution of the issue the governor office
takes the expense of the tuition of students wishing to work in the
province. But this initiative is not very efficient. After getting
education many refuse to work in the province.
