CELEBRATIONS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF DAYS OF FRANCOPHONIE

YEREVAN, MARH 9, ARMENPRESS: Within the Days of Francophonie -
from March 14 to April 21, a program rich in events is intended to
implement in Yerevan and in the provinces of Armenia. Foreign Affairs
Ministry of Armenia told Armenpress that an official reception and a
press conference entitled "The Launch of Francophonie Days" will be
held March 17 on the occasion of the International Day of Francophonie.
An official from the Armenian Foreign Affairs Ministry told Armenpress
that the program includes musical and theatrical, literary events,
film showings, contests, etc. In 24 schools of Yerevan, where French is
taught, one-month cultural and school events are intended to conduct.
A gala concert with participation of Lara Fabian will be held within
the framework of the Francophonie events, "Hover" chamber choir, French
jazz ensemble and choir will give concerts. Soirees of francophone
songs and classical music will be organized. According to the Foreign
Affairs Ministry, a round table will be organized at the UN on the
occasion of the day and a film will be shown.
"Fairytale Festival 2011" is among the events of Francophonie. "Poets'
Spring" is involved in the literary events, which includes reading,
presentation of a book published in Moscow, an event dedicated to the
145th anniversary of R. Roland, a conference entitled "Francophonie in
Switzerland: History and Culture", as well as an event in the Lovers
Park in Yerevan, etc.
