SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS TO 22 UFAR STUDENTS

YEREVAN, MARCH 9, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian General Benevolent Union
(AGBU) awarded today scholarships for academic achievements to 22
students of the French University in Armenia (UFAR).
This year the financial aid by AGBU made 30 000 USD. According to
Artun Hamalyan, director of AGBU educational programs, AGBU and UFAR
have been collaborating within the framework of several programs
since 2004. "The foundation has an objective to ensure the success
of the young generation, as well promote competitive and successful
young people," Artun Hamalyan said.
According to Joëlle le Morzellec, UFAR rector, students of the
university have been granted such aids since 2004, however this
year the number of students, who receive scholarship for academic
achievements, increased by 2. She said they opened a new master's
program, called "Cultural Communication, Tourism and Management",
as education and tourism are developed directions in Armenia.
