TURKISH MP SAYS RESUMPTION OF WAR UNLIKELY IN KARABAKH

Member of the Turkish parliament for the ruling Justice and Development
Party Mehmet Erdogan said that resumption of hostilities in Nagorno
    Karabakh is unlikely.

"In my opinion, it will not take place, as a war has never helped
in solving problems. Military solution of a problem can't produce
the needed result. It would be useful to intensify the diplomatic
activity and draw the international community's attention to the
killing of innocent people," said Erdogan.

Referring to the Armenian-Turkish normalization and opening of
Armenia-Turkey border, Erdogan said that there is no need in hurrying
with respect to the border opening. According to him, Turkey is
interested in "elimination of all problems between the neighboring
    countries in the region."

"We will continue displaying our good attitude. Turkey's foreign
policy and our Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's policy are
successful. We try to improve the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations
and then Armenian-Turkish ties, the latter depending on Armenia. I
strongly believe that finally peace and stability will be established
in our region," Erdogan said in an interview with Day.az.
