Russian natural gas producer Itera plans to participate in a number of
investment projects in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, the company
    said in a statement Friday.

The total value of the investments in the projects was not disclosed.

Itera's Chairman Igor Makarov and Yerevan's Mayor Karen Karapetyan
signed the agreement of intent to invest in the projects in the city.
In particular, the company was offered to take part in a number of
projects to develop infrastructure in the recreation, sport, tourism,
    and retail spheres.

"Over the past few years, Itera has accumulated significant expertise
in the area of (real estate) development, we have completed and are
constructing unique objects in Russia, Belarus, and Turkmenistan. We
hope to use our potential in Armenia," Makarov said.
