To what extent are Armenian media free? The question need
clarification, while that clarification does not benefit the freedom
of media, editor-in-chief of the Azg daily Hakob Avetikyan says.
According to Gegham Manukyan, responsible for public and political
programs on Yerkir Media TV, three factors are important as regards
the freedom of speech: specialization, courage and financing.
Hakob Avetikyan says the freedom of media can be estimated from the
investigation fo the market. "However, as there is no market, as such,
every media organization fights for survival," he said.
"One more rapprochement to us, representatives of the media and
press: we have no sense of corporate interest," editor-in-chief of
Azg daily added.
