ALEXANDER BRUSSILOVSKY: MUSIC NEEDS HELP TODAY

    ARMENPRESS
    MAY 11, 2011
    YEREVAN

"Music needs help today", outstanding violinist invited from Paris
Alexander Brussilovsky said today, adding that the issue is the same
in the whole world. "The main concern is that noise dominates in the
contemporary music as a result the music started being like chaos.

Impression is that the music entered a deadlock", he expressed concern,
saying that now there is no sensitivity, feelings in the music.

Referring to the circumstance that today young people are mainly
listening to music through headphones and very often in streets, the
violinist said he noticed it in almost all the countries of the world.

"I will describe it as escape from the world, which from the first
sight seems to be done through music. But music has never had a
function to isolate a person from the society", Brussilovsky said.

Tomorrow, May 12 at the Komitas Chamber House the concert of
Alexander Brussilovsky and another musician from Paris, pianist
Roustem Saitkoulov will take place dedicated to the 75th anniversary
of Armenian composer, RA honorable artist Gagik Hovunts.
