YEREVAN.- National Security Service of Armenia neither refutes nor
confirms Georgian press reports saying Badri Bitsadze, husband of
former Georgian parliament speaker Nino Burjanadze, is in the
    territory of Armenia.

`We have no information on this issue,' spokesperson Artsvin
    Baghramyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Police also refused to comment on reports saying it is not in police competence.

Bitsadze was accused of organizing armed resistance against the
authorities and organizing mass riots. Rumors have it that he has left
the country. His whereabouts are not known since May 26.

Nino Burjanadze called the charges against her husband fabricated. She
refused to pay $60,000 bail to show solidarity with other arrested
    opposition activists.

According to Georgian Rezonansinewspaper, Bitsadze is hiding in
Armenia. He reportedly left Georgia on Sunday, newspaper writes
    referring to its sources.
