THOUSANDS JOIN PETITION TO BACK SEFILYAN'S BID FOR ARMENIAN CITIZENSHIP

Hayazn youth organization's initiative to back former Karabakh war
hero and the coordinator of Sardarapat movement, Zhirayr Sefilyan's
bid for Armenian citizenship has attacted several thousands of people
Over the past five days 5,000 people have joined the petition calling
on President Serzh Sargsyan to grant vitizenship to Sefilyan . The
young activists, who launched the petition on Facebook, gathered today
outside the Komitas State Conservatory to collect paper signatures.
The campaign will last through July 10, the date Sefilyan celebrates
his birthday.
The activists will then organize a procession to the presidential
palace to hand the letter (with attached signatures) to the President
Serzh Sargsyan.
