TURKISH SINGER TURNED "THE MOURNING OF ADANA" INTO POP SONG (VIDEO)

After the incident with Turkish Fenerbahce football club anthem, which
appeared to be created under the music of Armenian song "Wake up, Lao",
one of Armenian News-NEWS.am readers pointed out another similar case,
when Turkish pop singer Seden Gurel performed a song on the bases of
    "The mourning of Adana" melody.

This song is titled "The reason is love" with lyrics by Sibel Aras
and music, allegedly, by Aykut Gurel.

Several years ago Sait Cetinoglu came up with critical publication
on the matter, emphasizing that "The mourning of Adana" is dedicated
to 30 thousand Armenian victims of 1909 Adana massacres and turning
this song into pop music element is a disrespect.

"It seems we are not content with merely massacring Armenians, we
do not even let them grieve for the slain. Adana events have been an
early attempt of 1915," said Cetinoglu.

Armenian News-NEWS.am attaches videos of both "The mourning of Adana"
    and "The reason is love".
