    YEREVAN

YEREVAN, June 17. / ARKA /. Armenia will use the experience of
Germany and Lithuania to improve its antimonopoly policy and better
its competitive environment as part of EU-supported Twinning joint
project, Karine Poladian, head of a department of the State Commission
for Protection of Economic Competition in charge of relations with
international and foreign organizations, said today.

"We use the opportunities provided by the project to discuss practical
problems with foreign counterparts," Poladian said.

According to her, different measures will be organized as part of the
project for journalists, NGOs, business community representatives
and judges, designed to help identify right approaches for solving
    existing problems.

Together with antimonopoly bodies of Germany and Lithuania Armenia's
State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) began
the Twinning project in February 2011. The purpose of the program
is to contribute to improving the competitive field in Armenia. The
    program is scheduled for 2011-2013.

Twinning is the initiative of the European Commission originally
conceived to help EU candidate countries to acquire necessary skills
and experience for the adoption, implementation and implementation of
EU legislation. Late it was extended to other EU partner countries,
    including Armenia.
