The Turkish authorities have denied that Turkish company Demirci
Makina supplied equipment for the construction of an airport in
    breakaway Karabakh.

The Turkish embassy in Baku has made an official statement about the
    alleged supplies:

"The media have spread information that equipment of Turkish company
Demirci Makina has been used in the construction of an airport in
    Khankandi.

"Given that Turkey recognizes Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan,
any material intended for this region is sent to Azerbaijani customs.

Also, if the export documents specify Armenia as the destination point,
Turkey does not permit this export.

"As far as the information in the media is concerned, the relevant
structures of Turkey have investigated all the supplies by Demirci
Makina for 2009-2011 and found out that there were no sales of this
kind in the said period," the statement says.

The head of civil aviation in breakaway Karabakh said that fencing
equipment produced by Demirci Makina had been bought for the airport
    via a broker in Armenia.
