"ARTSAKH ARMY IS READY TO GIVE COUNTER-ATTACK"

The liberation of Martakert was one of the most important victories
in the Artsakh war. This is what President of the Nagorno-Karabakh
Republic Bako Sahakyan announced today, adding that even today the
Defense Army is capable of giving a devastating counter-attack to
any assault against the republic's freedom and independence. Sahakyan
today participated in festivities dedicated to the 18th anniversary
of Martakert in the center of the region.
Bako Sahakyan mentioned that the development of Martakert region is
one of the important directions for the country's social-economic
progress and everything is being done for its construction. The
president also handed state awards to a group of Artsakh war veterans.
Among participants were Prelate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian
Apostolic Church, Archbishop Parkev Martirosyan, National Assembly
deputies and government officials and guests from the Republic
of Armenia.
