(Noyan Tapan - 29.06.2011) In the annual report 2011 on human
trafficking by the USA State Department it was mentioned that in
Azerbaijan women, men and children are are subjected to forced labor,
sexual violence and trafficking is widely spread in the country. The
report was published on June 27.

According to the report, the Azerbaijan authorities do not make enough
efforts to abolish trafficking. `The Azerbaijan authorities do not
take steps to prevent sexual violence, to discover those people who
make people work, to carry out investigations and finally charge them.
It is already the 4th year that Azerbaijan is included in the list of
countries which signed under `The Trafficking Victims Protection Act'.
However Azerbaijan does not struggle against trafficking,' the report
    says.
