Armenia expresses interest in intensifying cooperation with Ukraine

    KIEV July 1

Visiting Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said Friday that Armenia is
interested in deepening trade, economic, humanitarian and other
    cooperation with Ukraine.

Sargsyan made the remark when he met with Ukrainian President Viktor
    Yanukovych.

Sargsyan expressed hope that Ukraine will contribute to the
establishment of peace and tranquility in the Armenian region when it
holds the rotating presidency of the Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in 2013.

Yanukovych said that Ukraine is interested in resolving the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully, because Kiev is a reliable
partner for both Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He hoped that Ukraine and Armenia will strengthen contacts.

The Ukrainian and Armenian leaders Friday witnessed the signing of
some agreements between the governments of the two countries,
including one on air transport cooperation and one on heath
    cooperation for 2011-2013.
