YEREVAN. - Absence of diplomatic relations with Turkey does not allow
full effective cooperation with Turkish law enforcement agencies
in fighting against trafficking, reads the report on implementation
of CoE Convention by Armenia in fighting against trafficking, which
Armenian Foreign Ministry presented for the government's approval.

According to the report, some cooperation with Turkey is carried out
only by the Interpol. Cooperation with other countries is hailed
positive. In particular, in 2009-2010 an active cooperation with
law enforcement agencies was carried out with Russian Federation,
United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Belarus, Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine,
    Uzbekistan, Yemen, and Italy.

According to the report, there were 34 victims of human trafficking,
particularly 31 women and 3 children in Armenia in 2008. Women suffered
from sexual abuse, whereas children from forced labor.
