YEREVAN. - Armenian Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador
Karen Nazaryan's letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was
circulated as an official document on July 18.

Drawing UN Secretary General's attention to regular violations of
the ceasefire regime by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the line of
contact in June 2011, Armenia's Ambassador stressed such provocative
actions contradict with the negotiations under the auspices of the
OSCE Minsk Group, all previous statements by the heads of the OSCE
MG co-chairing countries, as well as UN Charter and Helsinki Final Act.

In a letter, Karen Nazaryan expressed concern that Azerbaijani
government is carrying out anti-Armenian propaganda, which becomes an
integral part of Azerbaijan's foreign policy. The evidence thereof
were Azeri President's speeches at a military parade on June 26 and
the World Congress of Azerbaijanis on July 5.

The ambassador noted such actions violate Azerbaijan's international
commitments, including the commitment to basic documents of the UN,
    OSCE and Council of Europe.

The letter stressed Armenia is committed to continue negotiations on
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.

It is time for Azerbaijan to realize that it is necessary to put an end
to obstacles to the mediators' activities and focus on the negotiation
process instead of spreading unsubstantiated and offensive information.
