(Noyan Tapan - 19.07.2011) According to Azerbaijani media, Iranian
ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagir Bahrami announced that Iran
was ready to mediate the settlement process of the conflict. "Iran
supports the peaceful settlement process of Karabakh conflict. Iran is
a neighboring country for both Azerbaijan and Armenia. For that reason
Iran wants the peaceful settlement of the conflict and stability in
the region."
"The West isn't interested in the settlement of the conflict. The
countries outside the region give false promises to Azerbaijan and
Armenia and delay the settlement process of the conflict. It worries
Iran," said the ambassador.
