    ARMENIA TO CHOOSE SINGER FOR JUNIOR EUROVISION-2012 IN SEPTEMBER

    YEREVAN. - Armenia will choose its representative for Junior
    Eurovision-2012 song contest on September 17, head of the Armenian
    delegation at Eurovision Gohar Gasparyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

    She said sixteen people, groups and solo singers will take part.

    Gasparyan said the commission chose among 135 applications.

    "We have chosen the best singers," she emphasized. According to her,
    all the songs are cheerful. Voting will be held by the TV audience
    via text messages.

    Armenia has already received entries from 13 countries but the number
    is likely to increase by the end of August. Turkey and Azerbaijan
    have not sent applications yet.

    As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, 12-year-old Vladimir
    Arzumanyan, from Armenia, won the Junior Eurovision 2010 with his song
    "Mama". Song contest featured participants from 14 European states:
    Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia,
    Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and Sweden.
