Were the assaulters or scapegoats revealed?
In today's visit to one of the military units of Tavush, the minister
of defense commented on the tragic case of death of Aghasi Abrahamyan,
18, killed in the military unit of Yeghnikner. Seyran Ohanyan advised
reporters to bring official press releases to attention rather than
reports of local commanders which are just rumors, the minister says.
"On August 26 Aghasi Abrahamyan was taken to the medical station of
the military unit, then to hospital where he died. Traces of violence
were observed on his body. Criminal proceedings have been launched."
Ohanyan said, "Nobody denies it, the circle of people who could have
assaulted him has been revealed, serious work is done in the framework
of the criminal case, those guilty will be held responsible," the
minister of defense announced.
