NKR PRESIDENT CHAIRS THE SITTING OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL

On 30 September President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako
Sahakyan chaired a meeting of the NKR Security Council. Issues related
to army building were discussed. Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan
delivered a report.
The President noted that the Defense Army is the main guarantee of
Artsakh's security and the raising of its fighting efficiency is of
pivotal directions of the state-building process.
Bako Sahakyan gave concrete assignments to the government and defense
ministry for proper realization of the issues discussed.
The Security Council also discussed issues related to organization of
solemn events in connection with the Victory Day, the 20th anniversary
of the Defense Army and liberation of Shoushi.
President Sahakyan assigned the Cabinet of Ministers to form a
governmental commission on the organization and coordination of the
festive events.
Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan, other
officials partook in the meeting, Central Information Department of
the Office of the NKR President reported.
