OSCE PA HOSTS ARMENIAN DELEGATION IN POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE

    Panorama, Armenia
    Oct 13 2011

A delegation of the Armenian National Assembly attended the OSCE
Parliamentary Assembly session in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from October
7 to 11. The OSCE PA was hosting the first special discussion on the
    Nagorno-Karabakh conflict since 2005.

The OSCE PA managed to hold the discussions in a positive atmosphere,
with no hostility and polarization, according to head of the Armenian
    delegation Aram Safaryan.

The Armenian delegation to OSCE PA included Secretary of the
Prosperous Armenia Party parliamentary faction Aram Safaryan, member
of RPA Artak Davtyan, and member of the Orinats Yerkir Party Khachik
Harutyunyan. Azerbaijan was represented by six delegates.

The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group also attended the discussions,
Khachik Harutyunyan told reporters. They focused on the key issues
of the settlement, specifically noting that the OSCE Minsk Group is
the only acceptable format for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh
    conflict.

"The general atmosphere was rather positive for Armenia, with a
highlight on Azerbaijan as the only obstacle to the settlement of
    the conflict," the parliamentarian stressed.
