The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
the Arab Republic of Egypt Mohammed Ala Eldin Saad El Leis presented
his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on October 12.

The president congratulated the ambassador on the start of his
diplomatic mission in Armenia, expressing hope that the ambassador will
contribute to the development and strengthening of Armenian-Egyptian
relations as far as he can.

Both sides underlined that the Armenian-Egyptian ties, the friendship
and mutual sympathy between the two nations began in ancient times
and continue to this day. They pointed out the need to develop and
deepen economic and cultural ties in parallel with development of
    political relations.

The president expressed hope that the establishment of political
stability in Egypt will help develop Egyptian economy and boost
cooperation of the two countries in this sphere. Both sides attached
importance to the role of Egypt's Armenian community in strengthening
    Armenian-Egyptian ties.

Noting that his appointment coincided with the 20th anniversary of
Armenia's independence, Ambassador Mohammed Ala Eldin Saad El Leis
congratulated President Sargsyan and wished him success, Noyan Tapan
