JOHN HEFFERN SAYS HE WILL DO THE UTMOST FOR REINFORCEMENT OF ARMENIAN-AMERICAN RELATIONS

Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received today newly
appointed Ambassador of the United States to Armenia John Heffern on
the occasion of handing over the copies of credentials.
MFA press and information department told Armenpress that
congratulating the newly appointed Ambassador, Minister Nalbandian
wished him success, voicing hope that with his activity the Ambassador
will promote the development and boosting of the Armenian-American
relations which recently have been raised on a new qualitative level.
Expressing gratitude for the warm wishes, Ambassador Heffern noted
that the US administration rates high the development of multi-sided
partnership with Armenia and assured that he will do his best for
reinforcing the bilateral relations more.
Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Heffern spoke about many issues
relating to the Armenian-American relations. They also exchanged
thoughts over the regional issues. In this pre-context the minister
highly assessed the positive engagement of the US, as co-chair of
the Minsk Group, in the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
