    HOW "ELITE" POISONS PEOPLE

    Story from Lragir.am News:

The mass media have a number of standard topics to use at the end
of the year and the beginning of the new year. In particular, at the
end of the year, the media dwell on how much money will be spent on
New Year dinners, and how many people went to hospital with stomach
    problems after New Year celebrations.

This year, people seem to have celebrated New Year less luxuriously and
the cases of intoxication is too small, only one person, according to
official information. Does this statistics reflect the real situation?

The Armenian State Committee of the Protection of Economic Competition
fined producers of milk products for abuse. A check of the Customs
documents by the Committee revealed that the aforementioned companied
import large amounts of vegetable oil, mostly coconut fat. A test
found fat used in the production of milk products, which is forbidden
    by the Armenian law.

Meanwhile, the prices of milk products rose in Armenia. When reporters
asked the Minister of Agriculture about the rise of price, he announced
that the price did not rise but the quality improved.

Actually, the State Committee of the Protection of Economic Competition
proved that not only the price increased but also the quality got
    worse.

The SCPEC reveals such breaches very often. In particular, last year
it revealed that spread was imported to Armenia and sold as butter
in markets. Breaches are revealed in the sugar, alcohol, meat and
    other markets.

Note that the producers and importers of these goods are members of
parliament, people who have close ties with the authorities. These
people's cupidity and greed has no limits. Even the official circles of
Armenia admit inflation in Armenia has nothing to do with international
trends. Not only the food is much more expensive than the international
prices but it is also of bad quality while producers and importers
    generate immense profits.

Food security is usually considered as an important element of national
security. So, it turns out that the Armenian "elite" poisons its
people. This "elite" is going to get seats in the next parliament,
though the authorities assure they are not.

They cannot be in the parliament because this is a real threat to
    national security.
