PRESIDENT OF FRANCE NOT TO ALLOW VIOLATION OF MEMORY OF VICTIMS OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

YEREVAN, JANUARY 31, ARMENPRESS: President of France Nicolas Sarkozy
will not allow to disrespect the memory of the victims of the Armenian
Genocide. Citing Nouvelles d'Armenie, Armenpress reports that this
was the answer from the Elysee Palace in response to the member of
the ARF Armenian Cause office asking to facilitate the ratification
of the bill penalizing the denial of genocides by the French President.
"President of France is quite resolute in keeping the memory of the
victims of the Armenian Genocide from denial violations," the official
response says.
The letter also stresses the commitment of President of France to the
development of Armenian-French ties, which are being reinforced more
with the contribution of the heirs of the victims of the Armenian
Genocide to the development of France.
