Unrest in Middle East weakens regional positions of Armenia - opinion

The West, including the USA, France and other countries, left down the
Christian minorities, including Armenians, in the Middle East, expert
at the Institute of Political and Social Studies of the Black Sea and
Caspian Region Andrey Areshev told the reporter of Armenian
    News-NEWS.am.

According to him, radical forces will come to power in the Middle East
countries and the Christians will not have it easy with those powers.

As Areshev points out, the Western countries are destabilizing the
situation in the Middle East which might lead to an outflow of
Christians including Armenians in the Middle East.

`The Christian minorities are playing an important role in maintaining
stability and balance of forces in the region. For example, the
Armenian community in Syria and Lebanon are important for providing
security for Armenia and strengthening its regional positions. With
its actions France undermines their stability in the region and leaves
them to the mercy of the Sunni radicals which will lead to mass
Christian outflow from the Middle East,' Areshev summarized.
