PREMIER SARGSYAN VISITS ARMENIAN-SWISS JOINT VENTURE

YEREVAN. - Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited
Armenian-Swiss joint venture ASTRA specialized in production and
development of high-precision solid tungsten carbide instruments.
The PM got familiarized with the company's manufacturing process and
development projects.
The instruments are used in various industries, especially Mechanical,
Electronic, Jewelry, Medicine and other branches of Economy.
Company's production totaled over AMD 34.5 million last year,
increasing by 132.7 percent as compared with 2010.
The company is in process of building a new factory. The construction
is expected to be over later this year. The investments in a new
project will total $9 million.
