    SYMBOL OF THE RUINING STATE
    Hayk Aramyan

    Story from Lragir.am News:

The most popular topic of press reports now is a possible agreement
between the Republican and Prosperous Armenia parties to form a
coalition. Only the nomination of speaker's and prime minister's
posts is reported to be under discussion, as well as PA support to
Serzh Sargsyan in the upcoming presidential election.

Apparently, the coalition will have the same composition, PA will
announce to support Serzh Sargsyan and will boost its "quotas" by a
few other cabinet posts, Tigran Sargsyan will go on as prime minister
and the ex-speaker and chief of Republican election headquarters
    Hovik Abrahamyan will be re-appointed.

For Hovik Abrahamyan, they say, he was able to coordinate the RPA and
PA parliamentary group activities in the National Assembly. On the
one hand, he is a Republican, on the other hand, he is a relative of
the PA leader. He "organized" the elections to ensure no votes will
be seized from PA and to ensure that the RPA gets more votes than PA.

Hence, he is the only compromise candidate acceptable to both groups.

Hovik Abrahamyan's possible reappointment as the NA speaker will be no
change for Armenia, and will also exclude possible changes in future.

The point is that Hovik Abrahamyan is the most vivid example of the
vicious economic-political system and qualities of Armenia, even the
symbol. The way he passed is the best description of the essence of
the current state system of Armenia - political and economic quotas and
monopolies, usurpation of power and elimination of voting mechanisms,
negligence of the Constitution and laws, degradation of the state
management system, state institutes and staff policy, criminalization
    of public life.

Hence, Hovik Abrahamyan's return to the office of the NA speaker will
mean that the aforementioned situation will be preserved. This will
not be a return to square one but a deeper situation with all its
consequences. Especially now, when fundamental changes are underway in
the world and everyone needs to keep up with them, including Armenia,
in order not to be left out of history.

The point is not Hovik Abrahamyan as a personality but the situation
and qualities one of the symbols of which is Hovik Abrahamyan. This
has been the most popular quality with all the Armenian regimes.
