YEREVAN. - Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) No. 2 and former FM
Vartan Oskanian claims the party will enter the Parliament with the
programs, which were voiced during the election campaign, he told
the journalists after the MP mandate distribution ceremony held in
the Central Electoral Commission on Wednesday.

"The party voiced necessity of changes in political, economic and
social fields during the election campaign. We promised people and
we will be consistent in realizing those programs through our work in
the Parliament," Oskanian said adding the PAP will be an alternative
to authorities and political majority in the Parliament.

Asked why he avoids using the term opposition, he said that the
party will work in a constructive field and will be an alternative
to the government. The fact that the PAP failed to achieve agreement
and form coalition, testifies to the difference in their programs,
this was the reason not to enter coalition, Oskanian added.

Regarding rumors circulated in media outlets that not all PAP
members are satisfied with the decision, Oskanian said there are no
    disagreements within the party.
