    Russia

    Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev discussed with his Armenian
    colleague Tigran Sargsian the development of economic interaction
    between the two countries on Wednesday.

    The meeting was held on the sidelines of the session of the Council
    of CIS prime ministers in Ashgabat.

    "Our agenda is traditional; I have an idea what questions you might
    ask; nevertheless we can discuss any themes related to the development
    of economic and humanitarian ties between Russia and Armenia,"
    Medvedev said opening the meeting.

    Sargsian noted that Armenia attached special significance to the
    development of relations with Russia.

    "Russia is our strategic partner, and number one economic partner;
    Russia accounts for over 60 percent of investments in our economy,"
    the Armenian prime minister said noting that Yerevan was interested
    in stepping up this cooperation.
