    SOCIETY WON'T RETREAT

    Story from Lragir.am News:
    http://www.lragir.am/engsrc/country27037.html
    Published: 15:09:28 - 03/08/2012

Vahe Avetyan Initiative stated on August 2 military doctor, father of
two small kids Vahe Avetyan would be 33. His murder in the restaurant
owned by the famous oligarch Ruben Hairapetyan, nicknamed Nemets Rubo,
by the latter's bodyguards once again illustrated the approach of
the criminal oligarchic system "be my slave or leave you homeland".

The statement continues that in case of a fair investigation the main
questions should have already been answered, whereas nothing is known
after one and a half month.

The initiative notes that Vahagn Harutiunyan who has the expertise
of March 1 investigation, has been appointed to deal with the
investigation of Vahe Avetyan's case. This comes to prove that the
regime is unable to find reliable people in the police staff otherwise
it would not have resorted to the services of this notorious man. It is
clear that no one wants to defend these authorities which are trying
to cover up the murder of the military officer. The calculation of
the authorities is clear - protract time until public engagement
    disappears.

The authors of the statement say this is a wrong approach because there
is a conscious and young generation in Armenia which understands the
scenario of the authorities and is guided by fundamental values.

The current actions of the investigation and the obstacles that it
creates will be an invitation to the public to increase pressure.

The initiative reiterates its commitment to punish all those guilty
in accordance with law and restore justice. They say they will not
tolerate lawlessness. The initiative reiterates its commitment to
achieve having Ruben Hairapetyan held responsible.

Vahe Avetyan Initiative calls on the citizens of Armenia to join the
struggle for the right to life and human dignity.
