    PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEERS VOWED SOLEMNLY

    YEREVAN, JULY 7, ARMENPRESS: Peace Corps 42 volunteer's inauguration
    ceremony headed by U.S. Embassy Charge d'Affairs to Armenia to the
    Republic of Armenia Bruce Danahy was launched in August 7.

    As Armenpress reports Peace Corps Armenian office director David Lili
    came forth with the opening speech '~R Over 750 volunteers conducted
    service during Armenian Peace Corps. The job of the volunteers is
    very hard and responsible. Never forget where do you come from,
    keep to your values and be consistent in your mission'~R.

    Peace Corps training program department head Nicolas Bruno noted,
    during 20 years of activity the volunteers worked with the headmasters
    of province's schools, English teachers: mutual exchange of experience
    took place in this period. '~R Our aim is to make efforts for launching
    English classes in more influential and interesting way.

    Some progress has been observed throughout the activity of the
    structure, yet more junctions are needed'~R the interlocutor came
    forth with.

    The Peace Corps is an American volunteer program issued by President
    John F. Kennedy on March 1, 1961. Since then 200 hundred thousand
    volunteers have served in almost 100 countries of the world. Peace
    Corps has three goals: show professional assistance to the host
    country, help host country people get to know American nation better
    as well as help the American people in better recognition of the
    host nation.
