Armenian-Romanian relations also develop in philately sector

    12:56, 11 August, 2012

Yerevan, August 11, ARMENPRESS: `Armenian monastery: 500th anniversary
of Hachkatar' the official ceremony of the Armenian and Romanian Posts
jointly edited stamp cancellation took place on August 11. As
`Armenpress' reports the Armenian Hachkatar monastery is depicted on
the stamps, which is located not far from the Romanian Suchava state
on top of the Bula hill. The head of the `Armenian Post' CJSC
international relations and philately department Anna Ghukasyan
informed in the conversation with the journalists that the monastery
was built by the Armenian businessmen Donavag brothers.

`Every day a great number of pilgrims visit the monastery dedicated to
Our Lady, due to which the stamp will be put into circulation on the
preceding Day of Our Lady's Assumption. Through this stamp we once
again remind of our cultural heritage', Ghukasyan noted. To her word
the official presentation ceremony of the Romanian stamp will take
place in the presence of Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenians in
    Bucharest on August 14.

The authors of the stamps are Mikhay Vamasesku and Vahagn Lazarian.
These stamps of 380 dram were printed in the French Kartor
    printing-house.
