Youth representatives of CIS and Baltic states discuss prospects of
Eurasian integration in Armenia
Yerevan/Mediamax/. Over 60 representatives of youth from 14 countries
have arrived in Armenia to take part in the first Eurasian forum
`Young Eurasia'.
The organizers of the forum are `Prosperous Armenia' Party, Eurasian
Cooperation Development Foundation and RIA Novosti, Mediamax reports.
Addressing a press conference today, PAP member Vahe Enfiajyan said
that the goal of the forum is to establish contacts between young
journalists, entrepreneurs and political figures from CIS and Baltic
states.
`Various lectures will be delivered for the participants of the forum
in coming couple of days,' Vahe Enfiajyan said.
According to him, over 600 young people have applied from Armenia to
participate in the forum.
For his part, Vice President of Eurasian Cooperation Development
Foundation Andrei Smirnov said that the forum will help not only
establish a dialogue between young people but will also create a
platform for discussing issues related to Eurasian integration.
The official opening of the forum was held on August 21. It will last
till August 27. The forum participants are expected to come up with a
final statement.
