JUNE 4 ANNOUNCED DAY OF ARMENIA IN ALEXANDRIA, VA (USA)
YEREVAN, June 13. /ARKA/. City authorities of Alexandria, VA (USA)
took a decision to celebrate Day of Armenia on June 4. According to
the Press and Information department of RA Foreign Ministry, this
was officially stated by city Mayor William D. Euille stated in the
course of an Armenian Festival Day held in Alexandria.
Being adjacent to the capital of Washington, Alexandria is a sister
city of Armenian Gyumri. The festival was organized with the support
of the Armenian Embassy in the US. Armenian folk music and dances,
as well as Armenian cuisine dishes were presented at the festival. L.V.
