/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Not opening or closing of borders but change of
mentality is essential for the establishment of the Armenia-Turkey
relations, Turhan Comez, a member of the Turkish parliament and
Advisor to the Turkish Prime Minister stated in Yerevan, Yerkir Online
reports. In his words, the level of the Armenian-Turkish relations
will raise in several years. When commenting on Turkey's position
conditioned by the Armenian-Azeri conflict he noted, "I suppose
it is incorrect to condition the Armenian-Turkish relations by a
third country." According to him such questions should be settled
via dialogues and discussions. When answering the question about
the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Turkey he supported the
position of his country and noted that "the events of 1915 were sad and
Turkey also suffered losses at that period." Meanwhile he noted that
he did not expect Armenia to accord such a hearty welcome. According
to him, his visit to Armenia is a step towards the establishment of
the Armenian-Turkish relations, opening of the border.
