`Time plays into the hands of Azerbaijan'

`Nagorno Karabakh conflict still remains unsolved because of the
non-constructive position by Armenia', Turkish former Prime Minister
Mesud Yilmaz, told journalists on the sidelines of his visit to Baku,
APA reports. He said that Armenians' unjust position is impossible
now: `I have told about it with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham
Aliyev during our last meeting. Time plays into the hands of
Azerbaijan. Armenians have to agree with it'.

Touching upon the current situation of the relations between
Azerbaijan and Turkey, Yilmaz mentioned that though these relations
became a little bit weakened as a result of cunning policy pursued by
the Armenian government, now they are continuing a high level: `The
cooperation in gas field helps to strengthen our relations. Both
states make efforts for it. Taking into consideration the relations
between the peoples, I can say that it must be so. Joint policy
pursued by Azerbaijan and Turkey is focused on restoration of peace in
the region and peaceful settlement of the conflict'.

`I visited Baku in 1998 for the first time. The city has become more
beautiful. It shows that Azerbaijan is rapidly developing'- said
    Yilmaz.

Turkey was the first country that recognized Azerbaijan after the
restoration of its independence on October 18, 1991. Yilmaz was the
    head of Turkish government then.
