THERE IS A GROWTH IN SPHERES OF REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE AND DEMOGRAPHY

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. There is a palpable growth in the
spheres of reproductive medicine and demography in Armenia due to
the project of the United Nations Population Fund. In a conversation
with "Armenpress" the Executive Representative of the United Nations
Population Fund Armenian Branch Gagik Hayrapetyan stated this.
Hayrapetyan stated: "We shall continue our programs in the whole
spheres, including improvement of healthcare, demography, migration,
ageing etc." According to him the United Nations Population Fund is
an agency of international development, which supports the right of
each man, woman and child to live a healthy life and have equal rights.
Among other things he stated that the aforesaid organization gives
assistance in the implementation of information regarding the
population in a number of policies and programs, which are aimed
to the decrease of poverty, as well as to make each pregnancy to be
desired, each birth safe, and each woman and girl treated with all due
submission. In addition the Executive Representative of the United
Nations Population Fund Armenian Branch stated: "We shall support
the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the implementation of
its strategy of demographic policy. The strategy is for the period
of time ranging from 2009 to 2035."
