YEREVAN. - The Armenian News-NEWS.am took an interview from the
Ukrainian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Kukhta.

Do Armenia and Ukraine use full potential of developing bilateral relations?

Bilateral relations between Armenia and Ukraine last year were very
rich, especially in the economic direction. However, I believe that
the sides do not fully exploit the existing economic potential.
Ukraine pays great importance to the multilateral development of
cooperation with Armenia. Important step was holding the 6th session
of Armenian-Ukrainian inter-governmental Commission on economic
cooperation last Nov. 19 - 20 in Armenia. During the session, the
Commission discussed issues on necessity of searching ways and forms
of cooperation. Ukraine is ready to review issues on investments in
Armenia in the sphere of economy, while Armenia also is ready to make
    investments in Ukraine.

Are there any joint companies operating with Ukrainian investments?

Unfortunately there are no such companies yet, however, Ukraine is
ready to participate in projects on economy and engineering in
    Armenia.

To what degree is the contractual-legal base complete?

There are in total 71 agreements between Armenia and Ukraine,
    including inter-state, inter-governmental and inter-regional
contracts, out of which 12 are inter-state economic contracts.

How would you assess humanitarian aid?

It is a very important piece of spectrum of bilateral cooperation and
it is a bit ahead of the economic one. This kind of cooperation allows
contacting people, in particular between young generations. I also
would like to emphasize the importance of holding Days of Ukraine in
Armenia early last year. And we do have great projects this year too
in the sphere of exchanging creative teams, book presentations and the
    like.

What are Ukraine's priorities during the OSCE presidency?

It is a very important and responsible mission for us and Ukraine is
ready for an active and productive work. Our president has stated the
main priorities, including settlement of regional conflicts in the
territory of the OSCE member-states, reinforcement of trust and
security in the OSCE territory, use of the organization's potential in
ensuring energetic security, contribution in economic development,
including development of new trade and transportation corridors.
Ukraine will actively support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group for
settling the Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] peace process.

Will the OSCE incumbent chairman visit the South Caucasus?

The visit terms are not fixed yet, however, it may be either early or
    midst of this year.
